Everything You Need in Polystyrene Building
The Amazing Polystyrene Concepts
Polystyrene (EPS) is used in the building and construction industry. Polystyrene is an inert material that does not rot and provides no nutritional benefits to vermin therefore does not attract pests such as rats or termites. Its strength, durability and lightweight nature makes it a versatile and popular building product. Applications include insulated panel systems for walls, roofs and floors as well as facades for both domestic and commercial buildings. It is also used as a void-forming fill material (pods) in domestic housing slabs, civil engineering projects (block) as a lightweight fill in road and railway construction, and as floatation material in the construction of pontoons and marinas.

EPS Benefits
Polystyrene has very low thermal conductivity due to its closed cell structure.
It is an extremely cost-effective building material. It is easy to handle, transport, store and cut on site without the need for safety measures
EPS can be used in foundations or in conjunction with common building materials such as concrete, cement, mortar, plaster, brick, masonry, steel, timber and others . It is non-hygroscopic which means it does not readily absorb or retain moisture from the atmosphere. It is also rot-proof, making it ideal for direct contact with earth in substructure applications. It does not require dry indoor storage and does not become friable or saturated.
Flexible production makes EPS versatile in strength which can be adjusted to suit the specific application
